Hamsa, known as Swami
Virajeshwara, is a graduate from Mumbai University and a
Ph.D in polymer physics from Rutgers, the State University of
New Jersey. He worked in I.B.M at its R&D labs
responsible for developing high speed fourth generation
computers like IBM-360.
Pessimistic of scientific
achievements he renounced everything and went to Himalayas in
search of TRUTH and dived deep into meditation to enquire "Who
am I? What is God ? Why do I exist ?"
Having
studied Vedanta in Sringeri Mutt, he now expounds non-dual
Brahma, the Ultimate Reality from his own profound experience,
in the tradition of Vedanta, in his own scientific style.
Trained in modern science and in ancient scriptures, his
answers are neither too abstract nor difficult to grasp, but
are direct, simple, logical, and easy to understand for a
modern mind. How the Scientist turned a sage is a fascinating
story which he narrates in his autobiography
Scientists
Search for Truth
.
The search
culminated in Self-realisation and eternal peace. Presently he
lives in his Hamsa Ashramam on a tranquil place called Anusoni
near Hosur in TamilNadu, 60 kms from Bangalore and guides
sincere
seekers.
Swami's
Guru: Swami Virajeshwara's guru is Swami Vidyanandaji
Saraswathi, who was a disciple of Swami Sivananda
Saraswathi of Divine Life Society, Rishikesh.
